Cruise Ship Information

This 164-passenger vessel boasts spacious staterooms with our exclusive Twin Balconies, a choice of dining venues, a heated pool with swim-up bar, in-room Internet access and more.

The AmaSerena – set to debut in 2015 – is a sister ship to the AmaPrima and features the most advanced design of any river cruise vessel currently in operation. Our exclusive Twin Balconies are available in most staterooms, which measure a spacious 210-235 sq. feet, with four suites measuring 300 sq. feet. Passengers will enjoy gourmet dining with unlimited fine wines at multiple onboard dining venues; a heated sun deck swimming pool with a ‘swim-up’ bar; fitness center and spa; complimentary ship-wide Wi-Fi and in-room Internet and Infotainment; and a fleet of bicycles carried onboard for passengers to enjoy on their own or on guided bike tours.

AmaWaterways’ European fleet continues to grow with the launch of AmaSerena (and its twin sister AmaVista). The vessels join their siblings -- AmaReina, AmaPrima, AmaCerto and AmaSonata -- for sailings on the Rhine, Main and Danube.

The line continually adds new design features to its vessels, and the 164-passenger AmaSerena will include a number of connecting cabins aimed at families and groups travelling together. There are 82 staterooms, measuring 210 – 235 square feet, and most feature twin balconies -- a French balcony and a separate outside balcony. There are also four suites measuring 300 square feet. All cabins feature the state-of-the-art “Infotainment” system including television, on-demand films and a computer with high-speed Internet access. There is lift access between the middle and upper passenger decks.

AmaWaterways is the only cruise line member of the international gastronomic society La Chaine des Rotisseurs, and passengers have a choice of onboard dining venues and unlimited fine wines. Other features include a heated pool with swim-up bar, massage room and hair salon and a fleet of complimentary bicycles. AmaSerena will also feature a selection themed cruises, such a wine tour.

Complimentary small group shore excursions, led by local guides, typically include a “gentle walkers” group for passengers who want to explore at a leisurely pace, an “active walkers” group for those interested in covering more ground, and a “late starter” group for those who prefer to sleep in.
