Cruise Ship Information
Atmosphere on board
On this river boat the name says it all: Absolutely "No Worries" Live out your own personal dream cruise aboard the MS Sans Souci.
This cruise ship is regarded as being exceptionally welcoming, not least because of the manageable number of passengers. You too are bound to appreciate the warm, very personal atmosphere and be stunned at the amazingly large amount of space that awaits you in this very compact-looking ship. The appealing atmosphere is created by friendly colours and fine brass decor.

Food & Dining
Whether you are cruising in the Baltic Sea or the Caribbean it is guaranteed that nothing whets the appetite like sea air. You'll therefore have even more reason to anticipate the feast of daily culinary delights freshly prepared by expert chefs. Opt for a full English breakfast, savour a leisurelyfive-course lunch and enjoy a delightful dinner in convivial company each and every day of your cruise. Our carefully constructed menus add a daily spice of variety to a blend of traditional fare and international specialities that will inspire the most jaded of palates.
Add in the morning boullion, afternoon teas, the late night snacks and the traditional shipboard occasions such as the Captain's Welcome and Farewell Dinners, and the pleasures of the table will surely tempt you from the moment you sit down to dinner on your first night aboard until that final breakfast as you prepare to disembark.
Whilst breakfasts and lunches are generally served in the restaurant on an open seating basis, two fixed time sittings are operated for dinner in the evening.
There are generally two 'formal' or gala nights planned on each cruise when many gentlemen wear a dinner jacket, although a lounge suit is quite acceptable. The ladies on these occasions have a chance to dress up and often opt for evening or cocktail dresses. On evenings proposed as 'informal', a suit or smart jacket and trousers, with or without a tie, for the men is suggested and the ladies have further opportunities to look elegant in a cocktail dress, trouser suits and stylish co-ordinates. A 'casual' recommendation often covers evenings spent in port or when a special event such as a deck party is scheduled. In these cases, the choice of dress is left entirely to you
On board Astor, enjoy a wide range of very comfortable lounges and stylish leisure facilities to make your voyage a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience with outstanding service from the attentive crew.
Fellow Passengers

All gratuities on Astor cruises are included in the fare. On Discovery and Marco Polo: £5 per passenger night is automatically charged to your shipboard account (£4ppn for cruises over 16 nights).
Our recommendation
Just returned from a national holidays trip to Ostend. Have stayed at this hotel previously and although it is a little tired you cannot fault the place for the cost of the holiday. Food was basic in the evening but there was plenty. Breakfast was continental but made a good start to the day. Rooms were spacious and clean. Overall a good base for a trip to Belgium
