Cruise Ship Information

MS Amadea is a cruise ship owned by Amadea Shipping Company and operated under charter by the Germany-based Phoenix Reisen. She was originally built in 1991 by the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan as MS Asuka for Nippon Yusen Kaisha. In 2006 she was sold to her current owners and entered service with Phoenix Reisen.

Atmosphere on board

Of all cruise ships on the German market the MS Amadea fills a unique niche. With a length of 193 meters and a maximum of 600 guests she provides exceptionally much individual space for everyone. Due to the relatively small size of the ship routings are extraordinary and lead to many interesting harbours which most other cruise-lines never visit.

Family with Kids/Teens

Accommodation in an extra bed child or youth price to apply. Children 2-11 years receive a 20% discount on the passage price if the accommodation is not done in an extra bed. Infants up to 2 years can not be transported. n all JD / JB, KD / KB, MD / MB few booths in the lobby are connected to a connecting door, which can be booked together. Information on request.

Past Passenger Programs

Most guests prefer during their holidays casual clothes. On special occasions like the captain reception and dinner is often carried on board MS Amadea and MS Artania elegant, festive evening wear. On board MS Amadea happy chic casual clothing, a jacket or cocktail attire is worn on special occasions. In the premises of each ship wearing swimwear and gym wear is not permitted. In your cabin you will find for use on board a bathrobe, a towel for the stay on deck is available. For the excursions we recommend good walking shoes and comfortable casual wear. On board our ocean-going vessels there is a laundry and for personal use washing machine and ironing facilities.

Food & Dining

Cuisine on board is good and varied and table-wine is included during lunch and dinner. For many guests one thing that makes cruises so special are the snacks between the main meals. On the MS Amadea you will surely enjoy this experience with afternoon-tea, midnight-buffet, forenoon bouillon etc. Not to forget the Captain's Dinner and the elaborately decorated "Buffet Magnique".

Whatever your preferences are you will surely feel well entertained. From captain's reception, ballroom-dancing, bingo, revues and shows to an evening at the piano lounge with a cocktail in your hand everything is possible. You may even take your chances and gamble in the casino or simply enjoy the stars.

Our recommendation

Depending on the position of the vessel (time zone) or by temporary satellite reception problems (Depending on the route), the position data updates may be delayed. We are trying to portray the daily programs and menus daily. Should this not be here again to find, so we ask for your understanding that the processing still takes some time.
